I’m a Hungarian mother who is trying to satisfy her hunger for the world through ardent travelling, reading and any other forms of discovering foreign cultures. Curiosity and respect are the two driving forces of my life, and the values I’d like to nurture the most in our little international family. My husband is a Slovene, so we share two cultures and three languages at home – I guess, that’s a great starting point to raise a multicultural child open for diversity.
My wish for our son, LittleMK is that he has a candid childhood, filled with books and inspiring stories, nature and creativity, adventures around the world as well as around the corner, and of course plenty of time to play freely.
The idea of the blog was born soon after he joined us, and when I realised that motherhood is probably the most challenging and rewarding adventure I’ve ever embarked on. In this little nook, I’d like to share bits and bobs of this amazing journey, our experiences as wannabe gentle parents, and the things we try to keep cultivating love for even with our smallest wanderer on board, namely travels and books. I hope that it might be useful or inspiring for others, too, and I find through writing some like-minded people to share all these passions with.
Thank you for joining the rockin’ adventures of my little indie band, Mummy & the Wanderers.
